Democracy through superior firepower
Well, Iraq voted today, and without notable violence. I'm tentatively hopeful for the outcome of this election. If the Iraqis did in fact demonstrate their desire to live democratically, this will be a glorious accomplishment for President Bush.
I wonder why the MSM aren't as excited about positive news (so far) from Iraq as they were about November's exit polls...

I fail to see how this 'tunring point' is any different from the dozens of 'turning points' we've already had. As long as the US still has control over the Iraqi government no one is fooled into calling it democracy.
I prefer to think of it as, "As long as those on the left can find a single thing imperfect about the situation in Iraq, they won't support it."
Anything to make W look bad, eh?
Um, maybe the 'MSM' isn't excited about this because you can only fall for the same trick so many times?
What's 'imperfect' about the situation in Iraq is that it's violent, unstable, and with no end in sight. But I'm sure that I'm just saying that because I hate America.
What tricks have the MSM fallen for? If anything, it's the media with the tricks--leading a partisan campaign of pessimism and focusing on body counts.
I don't think you have a hatred for America, Loyal, so much as a natural tendency to blame it first.
