Quote of the Day
I don't see "black people and white people;" I see people. Only when others attempt to highlight differences in the name of "equality," that is the betterment of one of the "races" over another as a means of rationalization or justification for unequal action, do I comment.

What a cliche. Pretending as if race doesn't exist to excuse someone else's racist attitudes.
Before reading your response Castle, I have to agree with Loyal.
I am a white person. If I see a group of black people across the street, I can make two choices. I can go across the street or I don't. I make my decision based on how I percieve them.
This is perhaps less than clear. The point is, black people are of course human, and I should cross the street as I would if a group of any such people were across the street--barring them holding automatic weapons for instance. But I see that they are black, and because of that knowledge, I must make a decision based on that fact.
To pretend that racial differences do not exist is absurd.
I agree with you that Bush is not to blame on the race thing. Unfortunately, there are racist pricks out there. That's humanity for you I guess.
