Regarding JBUs Support of Students Affected by Hurricane Katrina
September 1, 2005
President Chip Pollard announced Thursday that in response to the destruction left in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, John Brown University will waive tuition, fee, room, and board charges for the fall 2005 semester to students who are currently enrolled at institutions closed as a result of the storm. Eligible students will be served to the limits of institutional capacity in residence halls and classes.
The application requirements and process have been modified to accommodate these students needing to quickly join our student body. Those interested should contact the admissions office by September 16 at (877) 528-4636 (ext. 0) for additional information and a determination of eligibility.

UPDATE: I joined a small group of volunteers (4 or 5) driving down to the Gulf today to bring gasoline and work with a local church feeding people. We're leaving today at 2pm. Pray for safety.
