Abortion Terminology

I read an article reporting record highs in abortions in the England and Wales.  It was all pretty straightforward, except for a glaring, political correct, truth-suppressing technique.  The author frequently replaced "abortion" with "termination."  This just irks me ever time I read or hear it.  The word "abortion" is just an ugly word, and "termination" is less likely to elicit a negative reaction, subconsciously or otherwise.  One day, perhaps only after Christ returns, will all human life be respected, protected, and acknowledged as sacred.
