Seeing Gorbachev...almost

While at first glance you'd think my friend Josh had dropped off the face of the earth, he is in fact alive and well--he just doesn't do the blog thing anymore. He's busy doing things like attending Mikhail Gorbachev's speech at K-State. Well, almost. The auditorium originally scheduled for the speech apparently seats around 30,000, and the organizers of the speech were worried that attendence would look weak if held there. So they decided to move it to McCain Auditorium, which seats the incredibly large number of--get this--1,751 people. Vents Josh:
So at about a hour and a half before he spoke, there was a line from the auditorium around the union which is about the longest line that you could ever think of. Go to kstate to look at a map if you want to see how long that line is. It was amazingly absurd. So I had no chance of getting in to see him, unless I went three hours before hand. Unfreaking believable.
Mr. Gorbachev, tear down your event organizer!
