Somehow I don't buy this......
According to Matt Drudge, "a leading Iraqi insurgent claimed that the fighting in Fallujah was only the beginning" of the fight for Iraq. And I'm supposed to be worried? Is he referring to the same fight in Fallujah that I'm thinking of? You know, the one where we took 70% of the city in only three days, and wrested control of the terrorist hotbed in less than a week.
What does a threat like this tell us? The same thing that Osama bin Laden's video tape right before the election told us--that a message is the BEST THEY CAN DO. Why bother tell us what's coming? Why not actually do something? Were I a terrorist, I would figure the best way to send a message about my strength, ability and will to fight is to do just that--fight. Instead, what was left of the terrorist "armies" in Fallujah (those who didn't flee before the fighting began) fell like wheat before the scythe. Empty threats and hot rhetoric are a good sign that the terrorists are losing. Go American forces! Our prayers and support are with you in Fallujah, the rest of Iraq, and wherever else around the world you may be.
