Airhead America

Apparently Al Franken's Air America isn't doing near as well as claimed--big surprise. Of course, for being broadcast in only 1 of the nation's top 10 markets, and 3 of the top 20, what can you expect? I guess these geniuses actually figured they could jumpstart a successful radio business without doing what every other accomplished radio talk show host has done--build from the ground up. Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and every smaller-market talk show host started out with only a few stations. Those stations steadily increased because they did their job well, and people liked them. It's called the free market, folks. Franken just doesn't get it; he thinks the market should work the way he wants the government to work--that is, give handouts instead of teaching self-reliance and responsibility.
